Negros Oriental is known as the ultimate “muck diving paradise” with Dauin being the capital. Divers and photographers with a passion for small details will find a variety of unusual macro critters, while excursions to the nearby Apo Island cater to those looking for fantastic wall diving with healthy corals and large schools of fish.

Located directly at Salaya Beach Houses, the  resort’s dive centre offers generous space for guest’s own equipment and rental equipment. Photographers and videographers enjoy a separate, air-conditioned camera room with airguns and battery charging stations. Guided dives are offered several times a day, often starting directly from the beach – guests love the house reef just in front of the resort.

Diving in the Visayas is focussed on the “small stuff”, the area is well-known for a huge variety of nudibranch and shrimp species. But also those who love wide-angle-photography and big schools of fish will be delighted.

Apnoe divers will find little currents and shallow reef slopes, offering perfect conditions for freediving.
