Out and about on the most beautiful rooftops from Amsterdam to Venice with fantastic panoramic views
Amsterdam: Finish off the day in style
The Double Tree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station is located at the entrance to Amsterdam’s old town. From here you have a beautiful view of picturesque canals and houses steeped in history. Thanks to its central location, you can easily explore Amsterdam by foot. The Museumsplein, the Royal Palace and the old church are just a few of the sights in the neighbourhood.
In the evening, the unique rooftop terrace of the Sky Lounge on the 11th floor of the hotel invites you to end the evening in a relaxed atmosphere and once again enjoy the view over the water and the buildings. In addition to popular cocktails such as Sky Spritz or Summer Storm, light snacks are also offered.

Italy: The best view of Lake Como
Lake Como is in itself a very exclusive area. Embedded in an impressive mountain panorama, its three arms flow together in the holiday resort of Bellagio.
Typical for the area are the numerous small villages along the shore. The region became famous for silkworm breeding and the resulting silk industry. The inhabitants became wealthy, and some of the magnificent villas they built still bear witness to this today.
Thanks to the Mediterranean climate, many subtropical plants thrive here, such as olive trees, cypresses, palms and citrus fruits.
You have a wonderful view over the lake and the surrounding mountains at the Hilton Lake Como hotel. There is a pool on the roof of the building, so you can enjoy the lake panorama while swimming during the summer season. On the beautiful terrace ‘Terrazza 241’ you can enjoy a glamorous evening with delicious drinks and upscale culinary delights.
Cologne: panoramic view of the metropolis at the river Rhine
Nowhere else could you look out over Cologne’s starry evening sky in more style than at the Wasserturm Hotel Cologne, Curio Collection by Hilton. The water tower was once the highest in Europe, and today the lobby is located eleven metres above the ground. The undisputed highlight, however, is the Bar Botanik on the roof of the water tower.
From here you not only have a great view, but also a wide selection of different drinks, from traditional ‘Kölsch’ to the in-house Oriental Tea Time. In the unique atmosphere of a greenhouse where plants meet industrial charm, the evening gets off to a relaxed start with lounge music from well-known live DJs.
I never felt the need to leave here. I love this city for what it could be. – Frank Schätzing
Croatia: Fabulous view of the Adriatic Sea
The Croatian port city of Rijeka is located on the Kvarner Bay on the northern Adriatic Sea. Already in the 19th century, thanks to its ideal geographical location, it developed into one of the largest port cities in the area. The main promenade Korzo is lined with buildings with magnificent facades from the Habsburg era.
The first-class lifestyle resort Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa offers 6 restaurants and bars, including Rijeka’s first Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant Nebo Restaurant & Lounge. Nebo offers stunning views of the Adriatic Sea, cool drinks and exquisite cuisine. Chef Deni, who inherited his love of cooking from his grandmother, combines traditional Mediterranean with Croatian cuisine. But before it’s time to eat, be sure to have an aperitif at the bar in the lounge and gaze out over the sea.

London: Cheers to the ravens in the Tower
London and bars – they go together like pepper and salt or nachos and guacamole. Rooftop bars in London, on the other hand, have mushroomed in recent years. New locations are constantly being added.
The Savage Garden at the Double Tree by Hilton London – Tower of London is considered one of the wildest rooftop bars in the British capital. The castle, home of the British crown jewels, is in the immediate vicinity. True to the motto “A little party never killed anyone” – unique parties are held at the Savage.
Of course, this bar also serves special drinks, such as the St. Olave, in which gin is mixed with an old liqueur made by monks, or the Raven Master, which was created in reference to the ravens in the Tower.
Well then: Cheers!
Paris: View of the Eiffel Tower
Paris is known as the city of lovers, the city of love par excellence. But what would Paris be without its iconic landmark, the Eiffel Tower?! The 330-metre-high iron truss was built from 1887 to 1889 as a monumental entrance and observation tower for the World’s Fair to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution, and named after its builder Gustave Eiffel.
Extremely popular with visitors to the French metropolis are, of course, hotels and bars that offer a fantastic view of the structure, such as from the Eylau’s rooftop bar at the Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero. From here, you can start the evening with small snacks to share and creative cocktails like ‘The Balance ton Mojito’. The hotel of Hilton’s lifestyle brand Canopy by Hilton is located in the 16th district of Paris, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Elysees, and the Bois de Boulogne are less than ten minutes away.
Prague: View of the Old Town from Cloud Nine
Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is located on the Vltava River. The ‘City of a Hundred Towers’ is famous for the Old Town Square with its colourful Baroque buildings, Gothic churches and the medieval astronomical clock, where an animated chime can be seen every hour. The Charles Bridge, completed in 1402, is now probably indispensable as a photo motif for any Influencer channel.
Even though Prague has to contend with the phenomenon of “overtourism”, there are still corners spared from mass tourism from which you can enjoy the city. For example, from the rooftop bar of the Hilton Prague Hotel, the “Cloud Nine”. 40 metres above the Vlatva River, the rooftop terrace offers a phenomenal view of the Old Town with St. Vitus Cathedral and Prague Castle. The whole city is practically at your feet. It is especially beautiful in the blue hour, when the lights of the houses are switched on, but it is not yet so dark that you can no longer make out the buildings.
Venice: An incomparable view of the historic city
Venice – “la Serenessima” – i.e. the serene or even laid-back lagoon city, awakens travel longings like no other. A little morbid, the ravages of time gnawing at every nook and cranny of the palaces and old buildings, but always charming when you conquer the city on foot over the little bridges or by water taxi along the canals.
And some things here seem even more beautiful from the outside than if you were right in the middle of it: The Hilton Molino Stucky Venice is located on the island of Guidecca, which runs parallel to Venice’s main island. Things are a bit quieter and more contemplative here, gondolas are still being built in old shipyards and you will definitely meet genuine Venetians in the bar around the corner.
The hotel is housed in a former flour mill, which is considered Venice’s most important industrial monument. On the roof of the historic building, however, there is not only a wonderful pool, but also the Skyline Bar, from which you can enjoy the panorama of the historical buildings of the main island. The Skyline Bar is the highest bar in Venice. Here you can enjoy delicious and creative cocktails prepared by expert mixologists while enjoying live music.
